NOAA Weather Radio lets you get timely, reliable updates during severe weather with an inexpensive radio.
You can program most weather radios with a county-specific code, called a SAME code, that lets your radio alert you to relevant weather warnings near you. NOAA provides this list of transmitters providing coverage in Michigan, along with the six-digit SAME codes required for each county.
For easy reference, I have included the relevant information for Washtenaw County below. This is current as of June 22, 2013:
